Before designing this website, my client needed a logo for her new practice, Advance Law Office.
She requested the letter A with a type treatment. After several presentations and revisions, we landed on a lower case "a" that also represented the letters a,L,o in a somewhat abstract way, creating a mark that was both flexible and scalable, and suited the personality the client wanted to exude for her particular practice.
Due to the relatively small amount of content, I originally proposed a 1-page website with a sticky header. Research on other attorney websites revealed many sites with overcomplicated navigation and excess explainer copy. The goal was to keep the user focused on finding the info they needed quickly, and then not having to look far to click and learn more and/or make contact.
The content changed, and the idea for doing "package deals" was scrapped, so the design was changed to a simple 3 page website. The blog feature will be added at a future time.
